SEO and content marketing: From Michelin to Gary Vee, and everything in between
Why content marketing?
So as business owners you probably think, why do I need to be churning out content all the time? The answer to that question is value. When you produce content for your potential customers you are entertaining them, you are educating them, you are creating value for the customer. This content is also a part of brand building, making you the authority on your given subject.

Michelin's content strategy
Michelin, which was founded in 1889 by brothers Édouard Michelin and André Michelin, you might know them as a tire manufacturer, has been using content marketing for over 100 years. The guides that Michelin created helped motorists and road users by giving them useful information. The information they wrote about included things such as best places to eat, to stay, and to refuel their car.
By creating content like this, and eventually SEO content, it helped promote the brand to create brand awareness, to the legendary status that it holds today. Michelin’s net worth as of March 14, 2023 is $21.68B, so you can see that content marketing can create major success for a brand.
